Paper-making

Judd makes paper out of a variety of different pulps and fibers. Each sheet is handmade and is unique in it’s own way. He uses western style deckle and moulds to form sheets, which is then transferred to felt and then pressed. Once pressed he then transfers the paper to glass for a final dry.  Judd loves to see the natural beauty of the organic fibers shine in his papers, which brings a true artisan perspective to each piece.

Works on canvas

Judd loves to blend his passion for food into his painting bringing a new perspective to his kitchen endeavours. Typically focusing on still life and oil paint, Judd enjoys working on canvas because of the durability and the layers he is able to create on this forgiving surface.

Works on paper

Judd wanted to mend his two hobbies: painting and papermaking. He is still testing  the best methods and mediums to marry the two hobby’s. Below are a few of the pieces he’s done in the past- still having a strong focus on food and still life.
